Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary: Manufacturing company that seeks an Engineer to become an integral member of our team. Essential Job Functions:

Field emails and phone calls for inquires that regard new cable assembly design and engineering quotations

Work with customers to achieve quotable new cable assembly designs

Complete a Feasibility Commitment/Estimate (bill of materials and router) worksheet for first time design RFQ’s

Work with the vendor base to receive quotes for components and secondary operations

Create new drawings and manage existing drawings for all parts, components, fixtures and dies

Work with manufacturing to assess new fixture and tooling needs that are required for new and existing projects

Create new bill of material and routers into ERP system

Manage and update existing bill of materials and routers into ERP system as required

Responsible for the engineering section of contract review

Communicate verbally and in writing to all internal and external customers

Required:

BS - Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution required

2 years of experience in AutoCAD required

2 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role required

Experience working in an ISO9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment preferred
