    Communicare is a community mental health center in North Central Mississippi that serves Calhoun, Lafayette, Marshall, Panola, Tate and Yalobusha counties. Communicare offers specialized treatment services for adults with serious mental illness, children with serious emotional disturbances, individuals with substance abuse disorders and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

    Communicare is currently seeking a Supported Employment Coordinator

    The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a related field, with relevant work/school experience preferred. Must obtain any certification as required by DMH and maintain it continuously throughout employment. Supervises: Up to 10 supported employment specialists

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    · Provides general oversight of the Supported Employment Program to ensure that objectives are met.

    · Ensures that the Supported Employment Specialists effectively carry out all phases of

    employment services including Intake, Engagement, Assessment, Job placement, Job coaching, and Follow-along supports.

    · Responsible for no more than ten supported employment specialists.

    · Conduct weekly supported employment supervision meetings and attend clinical

    treatment team(s) as needed.

    · Communicates with mental health treatment team leaders to ensure that services are

    integrated, to problem solve programmatic issues, and to be a champion for the value of

    work.

    · Reviews current client outcomes with employment specialists and sets goals to improve

    program performance at least quarterly.

    · Accompanies employment specialists, who are new or having difficulty with job

    development into the field monthly to improve skills by observing, modeling, and giving

    feedback on skills.

    · Document services provided in accordance with Communicare, DMH, and Medicaid

    regulations.

    · Submit any reports requested in a timely manner.

    · Attend and successfully complete any orientation, staff development activities, other oversight agencies.

    · Screen each referral to ensure timely response follow through.

    · Conduct outreach activities with agency staff and area employers.

    · Work under the supervision/monitoring of the Clinical Director or other supervisor as designated.

    · Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    · Ability to relate positively to individuals who are served through the Supported Employment Program.

    · Must have transportation or access to transportation. A current valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and an insurable driving record must be maintained continuously throughout employment.

    · Acceptable criminal background check.

    · Must be CPI certified or able to complete CPI training and any other training required by DMH and Communicare.
