Role: The Communications Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communication strategies that effectively convey our brand message, engage our audience, and drive business growth. This role requires a creative thinker with strong writing skills, strategic acumen, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Working closely with the CEO, C-Suite, and Marketing leadership, the incumbent will be responsible for writing and producing member-facing publications, internal communications, and executive-level messaging. Responsibilities: Major Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that support company goals, using data analysis to guide and inform decisions. • Create compelling content for various platforms, including press releases, social media, blogs, newsletters, and website content. Contribute to building understanding of engagement among members, staff, leadership, and the Board of Directors by providing narratives that describe Community First’s activities, culture, and impact. • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and member growth. Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate any potential reputational risks. • Develop and manage internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged using a variety of mediums such as the company intranet, emails, scripts, training material, internal newsletters, and more. Audit the intranet to ensure marketing communications are current, and publish new content at the direction of management. • Ensure consistent brand messaging and integrity across all communications, including the Member newsletter, Annual Report, President's Report, CEO Update, Staff/Manager Meetings, and Executive Strategy Sessions. • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns, and provide regular reports to senior management. • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Qualifications: Experience • Minimum of 5 years of Experience with media relations and social media management. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, CMS, SEO, and Digital Marketing. Education/Certifications/Licenses • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Interpersonal Skills • The job requires motivating and influencing internal and external senior-level professionals, building trust, and securing cooperation through complex discussions. Strong written communication skills are essential. Other Skills • Skilled in communication and brand storytelling with strong verbal and written skills. • Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Experienced in developing and implementing strategic communication plans and effective at collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and board management software. ADA Requirements Physical Requirements Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment, including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off-site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Mental and/or Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on their own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Compensation: $64,500 - $80,000 yearly
