CEAP Client Service Specialist
General Summary
Responsible for the delivery of program service support and referrals through the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP), and related Programs. Coordinates access to needed services, materials, programs and information for all client families.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs in-take and assures that all documentation is provided for applications for assistance for the CEAP, Neighbor-to-Neighbor, WAP and related programs.
Processing Client files to consist of operating software, and entry of client data and the use of the data for CEAP, WAP, and related assistance programs.
Performs outreach to consist of knowledge of eligibility requirements, phone etiquette, filing, and customer service.
Provides information and referral; assists families in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, developmental and other appropriate services.
Non-physical demands include performing multiple tasks simultaneously, the ability to meet multiple deadlines, judgment decisions and working closely with others as part of a team.
Must be willing to travel as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Required
2 year experience in data entry showing trend to increased responsibilities
Education/Certifications/Licensure
Required
High School Diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
Familiarity with the service area, its population and community resources.
Must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment physical and criminal history background check.
Skills
Required
The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft or related software.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effective communication and people skills (bilingual in English/Spanish preferred).
Analytical ability to detect and resolve errors.
Physical Requirements
Light to medium physical duties include standing, walking, reaching, bending, hearing, talking for up to eight (8) hours a day.
Must have good vision
Must be able to lift thirty-five pounds. Lifting will be primarily confined to occasional on premises lifting of boxes of office supplies and minor office equipment.
