  • Responsibilities

    General Summary

    Responsible for providing nutrition services to ECI families.

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Educates staff and community partners on nutrition needs and referrals.

    2. Reviews child's medical records, including physical exam and other evaluations on file.

    3. Completes nutrition evaluation as per the Texas Administrative Code.

    4. Completes nutrition services as per the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) with a minimum of 80% delivery rate.

    5. Participates in comprehensive evaluations and completes the IFSP.

    6. Must document all services concurrently with the parent.

    7. Must follow the ECI coaching model.

    8. Must conduct nutrition screenings if needed.

    9. Acts as the Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA).

    10. Provides necessary clinical knowledge for the IFPS team to plan and implement individualized, goal oriented services with an interdisciplinary approach.

    11. Document child's progress towards the IFSP goals, recommend to the team modification of the plan as needed, and provider reassessment or ongoing therapy services as planned on the IFSP.

    12. Must review and sign all applicable IFSP's.

    13. Provides ongoing monitoring and assessment of the IFSP, at least every six months as part of the periodic review to provide professional opinion as the the effectiveness of services.

    14. Maintains and follows activities deemed appropriate by the licensed professional.

    15. Maintains ECI client confidentiality, follows TAC, FERPA, and HIPAA laws.

    16. Must be willing to travel to other surrounding counties if necessary, and use video conferencing for services or meetings.

    17. Other duties as assigned.

    Work Experience

    Two (2) years pediatric experience

    Three (3) or more years pediatric experience (Preferred)

    Education/Certifications/Licensure

    A Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition is required or Preferred Master's Degree in Nutrition.

    Be a licensed dietician in the State of Texas

    The candidate must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record and auto liability insurance required.

    Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) is required

    The candidate must pass a pre-employment physical.

    Skills

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Ability to identify child and family needs.

    Excellent knowledge of local resources in the communities.

    Microsoft Office literate, specifically with Excel.
