    Job Description

    This is a temporary position expected to last a few months with the possibility of extension based on business needs

    This temporary position supports programming and services at family properties within Aurora Housing Authority (AHA), with a focus on engaging residents of all ages and enhancing access to resources and overall quality of life. The Community Builder partners with residents to strengthen their communities, fostering connection, empowerment, and a sense of belonging. Through collaboration, the role helps residents identify their interests, address concerns, and leverage their own strengths to create meaningful, positive changes. This position supports diverse communities by promoting inclusive, resident-driven programming that builds positive relationships and contributes to a healthy, engaged, and supportive living environment. This position is temporary through mid-June.

    • Support Resident Services programming across AHA properties by working collaboratively with AHA staff, residents and community partners.
    • Promote and coordinate inclusive events engaging families, youth, and older adults.
    • Serve as a liaison and advocate for residents and assist with resource referrals including but not limited to, food access, health resources, rental assistance and community connections.
    • Provide light service coordination by assisting residents in navigating resources and connecting them to agencies.
    • Collect and track data in Resident Connect system around resident participation and outcomes of events and activities.
    • Build relationships with residents to identify needs, interests, and opportunities.
    • Provide options for various levels of activity and involvement by residents and neighbors.
    • Provide communication formats such as newsletters, calendars, flyers for upcoming activities, etc. for the communities.
    • Collaborate with and communicate effectively with all departments as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in a related field or proven relevant field experience.

    Strong interpersonal skills.

    Strong organizing and multitasking skills.

    Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent customer services skills.

    Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Teams.

    Valid CO Drvier License and Insurance.

    Additional Information

    Salary $56,000-$61,000
