    Position Summary

    The Community Outreach Canvasser is the face of TTB's Field & Outreach Program, going door-to-door within assigned neighborhoods to engage voters, share program messaging, and collect accurate contact/response data. This role is the frontline of the GOTV effort building trust with community members through respectful, informed, neighbor-to-neighbor conversations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Field Canvassing

    Canvass assigned routes/turf door-to-door within the scheduled shift

    Deliver approved messaging and materials (literature/lit) accurately and respectfully

    Meet daily door-count and contact goals set by the Lead/Canvass Manager

    Data & Reporting

    Log every door knocked and voter interaction accurately using the canvassing app MiniVan.

    Report any access issues, refusals, or safety concerns to the Lead promptly

    Turn in materials, equipment, and unused literature at the end of each shift

    Community Engagement

    Represent TTB professionally and respectfully in every interaction

    Answer basic voter questions or direct them to appropriate resources

    Follow all safety protocols, especially in inclement weather or unfamiliar areas

    Qualifications

    No prior experience required; training provided

    Comfortable walking outdoors for extended periods, including in heat or rain

    Reliable and punctual; able to commit to scheduled shifts

    Friendly, respectful communicator comfortable engaging strangers

    Reliable transportation to reach assigned canvassing sites

    Compensation & Schedule

    Hourly position; estimated range $20–$25/hour depending on county and experience

    Schedule flexes around canvass season, with increased hours/shifts as Election Day approaches

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to walk extended distances and climb stairs throughout a shift

    Ability to carry canvassing bag/materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
