    POSITION OVERVIEW

    We are currently looking for a developer to work on the ISIPTM Assessment products and tools to help create the next generation of assessments for students. Candidates should have an interest in meaningful work on a product with rigorous scientific research behind it, and exacting standards of excellence in an Agile/Scrum environment.

    MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Assist in implementing and maintaining assessment products and tools
    • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain assessment web applications for a variety of interfaces
    • Generate and execute development and design tasks from rough user stories
    • Grasp meaning of existing code and assist in refactoring code to meet ongoing new requirements
    • Collaborate and maintain an excellent working relationship with a small team of developers, artists, testers, item designers, and education experts
    • Perform in an Agile, sprint-based environment as part of a small development team

     

    Required Skills

    • Strong with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, competent with/open to C#, SQL, Linq
    • Familiarity with MVC and web applications
    • Understanding of or experience with Object Oriented Programming principles and Data Oriented Design

    • Have strong digital skills and aptitude, including proficiency with computers and basic applications software including Concur, Microsoft Office, and Google Mail.
    • Have strong time-management and organizational skills with a proven ability to handle and follow through on multiple tasks or projects.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience with front-end web development
    • Experience using an IDE such as Visual Studio
    • Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, jQuery
    • Experience with source control such as SVN and Git
    • Experience with the SDLC in an Agile (Scrum) development framework
    • Experience implementing solutions across several platforms (iPad, Android, Windows, etc.) a plus
    • Experience in education, curriculum, and/or assessment design a plus
    • Experience with Razor views, JS frameworks like Angular/React/Vue, Azure DevOps, Java a plus
