    CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT - HEALTHCARE PROJECTS (CSA - SELF PERFORM DIVISION)

    Overview: This position requires an enthusiastic self-starter who is a team player with excellent communication, managerial and interpersonal skills. The position requires conformance with all corporate and client confidentiality requirements, strict adherence to business ethics and practices, and a continual demonstration of professionalism throughout the delivery of services. The primary roles and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Oversee and audit site safety and quality control programs; • Issue all site safety work permits as defined within the Project Specific Safety Program; • Ensure site security and maintain site logistics management plan as defined by the Project Team; • Coordinate interface between project management and site operation participants in the execution of construction services; • Confirm the design intent with architectural, engineering, and consultants in accordance with Standard Project Control requirements; • Coordinate field trade activities in accordance with the CPM logic schedule and maintain three week look ahead coordination schedules with all appropriate Project Team Participants; • Attend all trade contractor weekly coordination meetings with Project Manager and/or Project Engineer; • Coordinate equipment and specialty material deliveries and staging requirements; • Assist with MEP tie-in matrix coordination and scheduled shut-downs as required to support any associated on-site operational requirements; • Support constructability and value management analysis with best industry practices; • Assess trade contractor earned value status with Project Management Team for monthly requisitions; • Maintain project as-built documentation and site coordination drawings; • Establish work completion and punch lists for trade contractors in accordance with established Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs; • Ensure field installation compliance with all technical specifications, approved shop drawings and submittals; • Support interface with Client Representatives on pro-active customer centric basis; • Complete associated Superintendent project control requirements in accordance to Corporate Standard Operating Practices and Procedures; • Support field investigation analysis for potential claim / issue resolution practices with Project Team, as required; • Support field close-out, commissioning, and validation requirements as defined with the Project Team; • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Qualifications

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Together with Director of Operations and Executive Director, create/revise program curriculum with clearly-defined activities and realistic, measurable outcomes.
    • Conduct outreach and recruitment within our programs and broader community throughout the year as necessary.
    • Lead weekly schedule of music instructional activities with small groups of youth, many with no previous musical experience.
    • Program & supervise daily drop-in times.
    • Meet with participant parents and provide them with opportunities to learn more about the program.
    • Create and implement regular showcase opportunities for Music Clubhouse youth and coach youth to perform with confidence.
    • With other youth development staff, integrate Music Clubhouse program and youth in annual signature events.
    • Identify core group of teens to serve as Music Clubhouse "All Stars" (Members will receive advanced music and leadership training and serve as mentors to younger youth and peers).
    • With the Director of Operations and Executive Director, develop and implement Member evaluation to determine Member skills development and satisfaction with program.
    • Supervise and discipline of members participating in programs and services within the program area as well as throughout the clubhouse as deemed appropriate.
    • Coordinate volunteers and consultants who can offer related instruction, support and guidance to members.
    • Participate in program/service outcome measurement processes and other evaluations programs including BGCA''s annual evaluation Commitment to Quality.
    • Orient, train and supervise department staff (including work-study students, junior staff, volunteers). Provide annual performance evaluations for applicable staff in a timely manner.
    • Secure, maintain and monitor budget, materials, equipment and other resources belonging to the program area(s). Maintain a safe and clean program area(s).
    • Participate in individual and group supervision sessions; participate in professional development opportunities as appropriate.
    • Travel between sites and to activities as needed. Other Duties:
    • Responsible for evening and weekend building coverage as scheduled.
    • Attendance and active participation in organization-wide meetings, programs and events.
    • Assist the organization (as needed) in the audio/visual needs for organization programs, initiatives and/or events.
    • Perform other assignments as designated by Senior Management in order to facilitate the most effective service to members, program participants, and the community.
    • Attendance and participation in Music &Youth Initiative programs, special events, professional development and reporting.
