    JOB SUMMARY

    The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for synthesizing complex financial and operational information, analyzing trends, and preparing reports and presentations in support of the financial planning efforts. Collaboration across Operations and Marketing departments withing the Company and coordination with Business Unit Finance, Treasury, Accounting, HR and other corporate support functions is expected.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Build and maintain detailed financial models of the company, including long range forecast models, cash flow models, project finance models, and/or other models as may be requested by the Director/Manager of Financial Analysis
    • Coordinate and lead the consolidation of financial forecasts and budgets from across the organization. Maintain, optimize, and improve upon existing forecasting and budgeting tools as necessary to improve efficiencies and increase analytical capabilities of the broader FP&A organization
    • Support Business Unit Finance as necessary to provide analytical support for operations analysis and decision making
    • Analyzing relevant information, trends, and data to support decision making and forecasting
    • Monitor results, perform variance analysis, and provide forecasts for assigned cost centers, which may include HR, Legal, Finance, and/or other general/administrative cost centers. Coordinate and support business unit leaders as necessary to achieve budget goals
    • Prepare financial analysis of current operations to identify areas for improvement
    • Prepare cost/benefit analysis on proposed projects and investments
    • Prepare ad hoc operational and financial analysis and special projects
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of five years’ experience in an analytical role.
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or other analytical field; MBA preferred
    • Working knowledge of airline economics preferred
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the company
    • Excellent PC skills with MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint experience
    • SQL programming experience a plus

    PREFERRED SKILLS

     

    • Working knowledge of airline economics preferred
