    Summary of Position:

    We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Information Analyst to collect, evaluate, interpret, and report on data to support informed decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will be skilled in data management, analysis, and visualization, with a strong understanding of how to translate complex datasets into actionable insights. This role is essential in supporting operational efficiency, strategic planning, and policy development.

    Essential Job Functions: (not limited to duties as described – performs related duties as requested)

    • Gather, validate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
    • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present key findings
    • Interpret trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business or mission objectives
    • Create and manage databases or repositories that organize information for easy access and analysis
    • Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to understand information needs and deliver tailored analytics
    • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
    • Document analytical processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference
    • Support performance measurement, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
    • Assist in developing data governance, quality, and classification standards

    Level of Supervision:

    • Must be able to function independently
    • Provide overview and general use training to all organization members and key leaders upon request

    Travel Required:

    • 10%

    Education and Experience:

    • Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related area
    • extensive knowledge or understanding in the field with strong communication skills.
    • Must be proficient in developing and managing server- side script ASP, ASP.net, client-side JavaScript, and structured query language (SQL) Server for managing data in a relational database management system

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Experience with information systems, data warehouses, or business intelligence platforms
    • Familiarity with Python, R, or other statistical or scripting languages
    • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FISMA) and information security best practices
    • Background in federal government, defense, healthcare, or research environments is a plus
