    Traveling Assistant

    Reports to: Oral Surgery Manager

    Key Partnerships: Operations, Clinical, Support Center

    Department: Operations

    Salary: $14-16/hr (based on experience)

    Classification: Non-Except 

    Status: Full-Time

    About this role:  Take your dental skills and knowledge to the next level with the oral surgery traveling assistant position! This position includes a strategic partnership with our oral surgery specialists.  Must be willing to travel throughout Texas, with travel stipend, lodging and fuel included. 

    Job Responsibilities: 

    • Assisting oral surgery specialist on oral surgery days
    • Support IV sedation patient experience  (training available for new team members)
    • Monitor and maintain proper usage and care of oral surgery equipment's: including capnography equipment and implant motors/handpieces
    • Secure and inventory of equipment for traveling oral surgery day
    • Strategic patient/customer service experience regarding consents and post operative instructions
    • Building a strong relationship with partnering office 
    • Other duties as assigned ( Sterilization)

    Basic Qualifications: 

    • Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing preferred
    • No chairside assisting experience needed ( OS experience not required) 
    • Current BLS (course assistance available upon request)
    • Digital charting experience a plus 
    • Open Dental is a plus
    • Current nitrous oxide monitoring certification (course assistance available upon request) 
    • Must have reliable transportation
