TITLE: Community Development Troop Facilitator
Reports to: Director of Community Development Programs
Classification/FLSA Status: Regular, Full Time, NON-EXEMPT
LOCATION: Hybrid - St. Johns County
POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is to develop and facilitate our Girl Scout Community Development Programs within assigned communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruit girls at each location to join Girl Scouts and meet monthly recruitment goals as outlined.
Prepare reports and evaluations as required; maintain accurate records of participation and individual activities; deliver pre- and post-surveys to all participants, parents and partners.
Plan, prepare and conduct weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly program sessions for Girl Scout members based on the program and Girl Scout badge curriculum.
Attend training, events, and meetings as necessary for successful program leadership.
Assist Girl Scout members and the Troop with product sales including the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
Foster and preserve positive relationships with girls, school administrators, parents or custodial adults of the girls, mentors, and other partner organizations
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and other Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. (Education; Social Work; Family, Youth and Community Sciences; Public Health; or similar degrees)
Prior Girl Scout experience preferred.
Experience working with at-risk communities preferred.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Strong commitment to helping and mentoring youth learn about the Pillars of Girl Scouts (STEM, Entrepreneurship, Outdoors and Life Skills)
Effectively manage the necessary record-keeping responsibilities to provide specific, accurate outcomes to our funders.
Flexibility to devote the necessary time to the job.
Ability to get along with people from all backgrounds.
Enthusiastic, positive, and outgoing personality.
Ability to assume responsibility and take initiative.
This job may require weekday, weekend and/or evening involvement. Local travel is required.
Valid Florida driver’s license, valid auto insurance and insurable by the Council’s auto policy insurance carrier and reliable transportation.

Supports council strategies to generate public financial support and participates in the staff annual giving campaign.

Demonstrates sound time management skills by effectively and efficiently organizing, prioritizing, and completing multiple assignments in a timely manner.

Ability to sit upright for extended periods of time.
Physical ability to frequently stop, kneel, bend, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull, lift, and move objects up to 20 pounds at shoulder height, and occasionally lift in excess of 20 pounds.
