Job Summary
_The Community Health Improvement Intern will support specific community health improvement and community engagement initiatives in alignment with the Allina Health Community Benefit & Engagement strategy. _
Key Responsibilities
Community Health Improvement: __
- _ Support Change to Chill, Allina Health’s mental well-being program, and activities associated with substance use primary prevention grant administered by the Opioid Epidemic Response Advisory Council (OERAC) at the Minnesota Department of Human Services (MN DHS). _
- _Assist with substance use primary prevention content development for changetochill.org, including reviewing and providing feedback prior to publication. _
- _Assist with marketing and promotion efforts for newly developed content utilizing a variety of communication channels internal and external to Allina Health. _
- _Advise on and support implementation of newly developed content with youth audiences, including in schools, Allina Health clinical services, and other youth-focused community settings. _Advise on sustainability planning beyond grant period, with a focus on ongoing youth engagement.
_ **** Evaluation & Research:_
- Conduct literature reviews and prepare best practices for content development and implementation.
- Support collection of community feedback on newly developed content and validate findings generated by external evaluator.
- Assist with grant report writing. Support additional evaluation activities as needed.
Administrative Support:
- Support grant Advisory Group meeting facilitation, communication, and notetaking.
- Provide additional administrative support as needed.

Education
- _ Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in p ublic health, community health, social work, communications, or related field. _

Part time, 12-15 hours per week, temporary
Salary
$20 per hour
