    Ready, Set, Smile has openings for two Dual Pipeline Trainees studying for positions as a Certified Community Health Worker or a Licensed Dental Assistant (CHW/OA).

    These positions are full time, 32 or 40 hours a week, working in our school-based oral health program. As a Dual Pipeline Trainee, you will receive up to $6,000 in tuition assistance each school year, $600 for school expenses, on the job training, and the hourly wage.

    Ready, Set, Smile CHW/OA's have an dynamic, important role. You work with schools to prepare for our dental clinics, support dental providers in the clinics, deliver health education to children in classrooms, and support families to get the dental services their children need. The position works in our headquarters, in south Minneapolis, about half the time and the rest of the time you'll be out in schools around the Metro Area.     Minimum Qualifications

    High School Diploma or its equivalent.

    Experience working in a multicultural setting.

    Have a driver’s license and be willing to travel.

    Understands the community served - community connectedness. Good communication skills, such as listening well, and using language appropriately.

    Ability and willingness to provide emotional support, encouragement and motivation to patients.

    Enrollment in a Community Health Worker certificate program or a Licensed Dental Assistant program at one of our partner schools.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Ability to communicate with adults and children through writing and spoken language in one of RSS priority languages. In 2025, this is Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Karen.

    Existing relationships with community service organizations and schools.

    Experience working in healthcare setting.
