    Job Description

    Community Healthcare Network is seeking for a Full-Time Health Educator/ Teens P.A.C.T. who will be responsible for developments, adaptation and implementation and coordinator of sex education and pregnancy prevention curriculum within the schools and community organizations; integration of school education and Teens P.A.C.T. services; assistance with providing coordinator and supervision of the Peer Education program. 

    OB FUNCTION:  

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

    • Coordinate the delivery of age-appropriate, sexual health education curriculum in schools and at community organizations.
    • Coordination the Peer Education component, including the recruitment, training, supervision and coordination of workshops, rap sessions, outreach and other acitivities for Peer Educators.
    • Promotion and advocacy of the Teens P.A.C.T. program to the community though participation in health fairs, coalitions, task forces, and advocacy to community and political leaders.
    • Integration of community education with other Teens P.A.C.T. components (teen lounge, rap sessions, horizon expanding activities, and Teens P.A.C.T. reproductive healthcare services.
    • Ensures the timely production of the Teens P.A.C.T. newsletter (including layout, editing and ensuring the appropriateness of Peer Educators' articles, program announcements, etc.).
    • Submits a monthly calendar and report of activities and statistics to the Senior Health Educator.
    • Data Entry: updates and cleans Teens P.A.C.T. databases.
    • Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy. 
    • Compliance with Employee Health Services.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

    • B.A. or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Previous experience working with youth of all ages in a school setting and working with adolescents in the areas of pregnancy prevention, sex-education, sexuality, adolescent development and youth developement.
