    Job Description

    Community Healthcare Network is looking for a Full-Time Data Management Analyst who will be responsible for harnessing the data available in our EHR system to drive improvements in clinic operations and patient health outcomes. The analyst plays a key role by extracting data from the EHR, and transforming it into intelligent, actionable reports and analyses.

    The position involves understanding the data needs of agency staff, mastering the intricacies of our EHR system (front-end and back-end), writing complex SQL queries, presenting data in user-friendly ways, and automating reports. In addition to PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server, the analyst will use a variety of business intelligence tools to automate and visualize data for internal and external stakeholders.

    JOB FUNCTION:  

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

    1. Write complex SQL queries to extract data from the EHR.

    2. Build a reusable library of reports in Excel, Crystal, and Cognos.

    3. Develop a deep familiarity with the EHR application and its database schema.

    4. Correctly interpret precise report specifications.

    5. Handle requests from internal customers and clarify their reporting needs

    6. Maintain and enhance our reporting infrastructure and tools (ETL scripts, view definitions, automation tools, new self-serve reporting options, etc.)

    7. Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor NCQA and HEDIS clinical measures.

    8. Provide help desk assistance to end users on our Medical Management system.

    9. Create and develop forms for the collection of data, and work with other staff install areas to improve the collection data.

    10. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health with 1+ year of experience in Healthcare Data Analysis.

    OR

    • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in Healthcare Data Analysis.

    • Ability to write complex and performant SQL queries.

    • Expert with one or more of the following: Excel, Crystal, Cognos, or similar business intelligence tool.

    • Bonus Points: some experience with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby, or a desire and aptitude to learn.
