    Community Housing Partners is pleased to announce the addition of a Developer/Application Integration Specialist to our IT team. Core responsibilities will include developing client-side web applications and database processes for CHP's business operations. Additional responsibilities include updating, repairing, modifying software/applications, and ensuring that programs and applications can be easily and accurately employed by end users. Position requires initiative, attention to detail, excellent customer services skills, and a demonstrated skill in prioritizing tasks for multiple projects. Specific essential functions will include:

    Develop sustainable workflows, custom applications, and interfaces in support of business needs and activities in a manner consistent with design/feature/function requirements in various platforms and programming/scripting languages

    Develop and maintain scripts, processes, databases, and reports to automate tasks and create custom integrations between multiple systems and data sources

    Maintain and ensure integrity of sensitive data and systems through collection, secure storage, and distribution cycles

    Maintain documentation in support of technical environment, content, applications, procedures, and recurring tasks

    Collaborate with corporate and division staff to align technology solutions with business needs

    Test technical business solutions and follow software development life cycle

    Research new development platforms and methods to ensure CHP's continuous operational improvements

    Assist in software and database training and support across all CHP divisions

    The successful candidate for this position will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Systems/Business Technology/Computer Science. Two or more years of experience in application development are also preferred. We are seeking someone who demonstrates initiative, willingness to learn, and the ability to solve problems, who adapts well to changes and is organized and able to manage multiple deadlines. Position requires someone able to work independently as well collaborate within a team, and someone who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to maintain high quality customer service when delivering training and technical assistance in software and database usage to line staff. Applicant should also be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and abilities:

    Proficiency in client-side web development including JavaScript and one or more component-based frameworks/libraries (AngularJS, jQuery, React, etc.)

    Proficiency in REST, HTML5, CSS, and SQL

    Knowledge of Java, TypeScript, Node.JS, SharePoint Framework, mobile content delivery and/or application development, PowerShell, IIS, and Apache Tomcat

    Knowledge of or experience in code management best practices

    Knowledge of or experience in Agile or related development methodologies

    Understanding of application and database security best practices and standards, and excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information

    Ability to read and understand complex project deliverables

    Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, user experience design, and database design and integration
