    JOB SUMMARY

    The Community Manager, Enterprise Internal Communications, will help Walgreens keep a pulse on internal sentiment and discussions to help us unlock new ways to connect as a company and drive team member engagement. This role is responsible for the day-to-day moderation of comments and conversations across Walgreens internal digital channels, including content development, proactive and reactive engagement and pinpointing the right moments for leaders and subject matter experts to jump into trending conversations. The Community Manager will partner closely with corporate communications, operations, human resources, legal, customer relations and social media teams on internal engagement strategy, campaign development and consistency in messaging across key audiences. As a member of the Enterprise Internal Communications team, this role will provide ad hoc support for communications initiatives, including plan development, writing, editing, proofing and other related communications activities. The ideal candidate is an excellent problem solver, strong writer and thoughtful and compassionate conversation moderator. Success in this role will be grounded in the ability to listen, question, consult, and moderate conversations in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Monitors comments and discussions on internal company channels to understand the sentiment and key topics being discussed and activate the right subject matter experts for potential issues.

    • Moderates conversations as needed and relay opportunities for subject matter authorities to respond to team member questions.

    • Drafts responses to team member inquiries and respond in a timely manner.

    • Stays connected to major company-wide key messaging and narratives in order to reply directly to team members.

    • Shares team member sentiment and key topics discussed with key stakeholders.

    • Develops creative content to engage team members and build communities.

    • Partners with corporate communications colleagues to help develop team member engagement strategies and amplify key initiatives through internal channels.

    • Provides community management training and resources for internal digital channel administrators.

    • Maintains and shares best practices for leaders to communicate through internal digital channels.

    • Helps ensure team members are complying with best practices, behavioral expectations, community guidelines, code of conduct and recommended use cases.

    • Provides insights and data to support communications and campaign reporting.

    • Stays up-to-date with digital technology trends.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years OR High School/GED and at least 5 years experience in corporate communications, marketing or related field.

    • At least 2 years’ experience in social media or community management, including growing communities, issues management with examples of real-time responses that showcase the brand voice.

    • Experience writing for social channels.

    • Experience acting and collaborating on trends and issues to execute strategies in a dynamic, fastpaced environment.

    • Experience analyzing channel data and making recommendations for improvement in engagement and activation.

    • Experience collaborating with internal and external teams to implement strategies.

    • Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint

    • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or crossfunctional team leadership.

    • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or English and at least 5 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing or related field.
