    Role Summary

At Tutu School, we believe that twirling is a birthright, and we are on a mission to bring the magic of ballet to every little dancer in our community! We are looking for a Community Marketing & Event Specialist to be our ultimate brand ambassador out in the real world.

Your mission is beautifully simple: spread Tutu School joy and book free trial classes. Who are we looking for? We need someone with high-energy charm and a total "marketing student" hustle. We need a social, sales-minded go-getter who is motivated by metrics (and bonuses!) and loves striking up conversations with absolutely everyone. Your stage is the local community, and your job is to get parents through our doors.

    Position Details

Compensation: $14-18 per hour + a magical incentive structure of ~$3 per trial signed up after the first 10 trials (per event).

Hours: 5–10 hours per week (up to 40 hours a month). Hours are beautifully flexible, but because community magic happens when school is out, nights and weekends are required depending on our event calendar.

Location: Out and about in our local neighborhoods, popping up at local businesses and community events.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Community Outreach & Lead Generation

Conduct high-energy, face-to-face walk-ins at the local spots where moms and kiddos hang out. Think: coffee shops, pediatrician offices, pediatric dentists, kids’ haircut salons, etc.

Secure prime counter space to leave behind enchanting marketing materials.

Pitch creative partnerships to local businesses—like offering them a sweet shoutout on our social media or email newsletters in exchange for booth space at their next event.

    1. Event Sourcing & High-Energy Booth Staffing

Put on your detective hat (and your tiara) to scout out local kid-focused events. We expect at least 2 major out-of-studio events per month (think Halloween Trunk-or-Treats, Farmers Markets, and local festivals).

Pack up and transport our event bin, setting up a gorgeous, welcoming Tutu School table/booth/tent.

Staff our booths with unstoppable enthusiasm! Strike up lively conversations and book trial classes right then and there.

Clean up the booth and return the event bin safely to the back office.

    Accountability & Measurement

The Outreach Goal: You must actively pitch a minimum of 10 potential business partners/ parent groups every single month.

The Event Goal: Source and execute at least 2 major community events each month.

The Sign-up Goal: Hit your specific live booking targets for every event (e.g., aiming for a minimum of 10 free trial sign-ups per pop-up).

    Reporting & Communication

The Real-Time Photo Drop: Whenever you successfully place flyers or visit a partner business, snap a quick photo of your work and drop it into the team group text.

The Live Tracking Spreadsheet: Keep a meticulous Google Doc/Spreadsheet detailing exactly WHO you reached out to (name, email, phone number), HOW you did it (email, call, in person), and the exact OUTCOME of the conversation.

The Event Feedback: fill out an event feedback form after each event so we can learn from past events.

The Summary Email: Send a bi-weekly email summarizing your outreach successes, a 1–2 sentence recap of the events, and any strategic "food for thought" to help us grow.

Monthly 1:1 Check-ins: Meet once a month with management to review your spreadsheet, plot out the next month’s calendar, and brainstorm where you need a little extra support.

    Qualifications & Requirements

Personality: Extroverted, talkative, and bright. You love meeting new people and can chat effortlessly with parents.

Mindset: Sales-driven and proactive. You love chasing goals and hitting targets.

Logistics: You must have your own reliable transportation to transport our event bins and zip around the community.

Tech: Totally comfortable navigating an iPad, Google Sheets, and our booking software on the fly.

Availability: A flexible schedule with the absolute willingness to work weekend and evening shifts when community events pop up.
