Community Outreach Worker-Serenidad Comprehensive Behavioral Health Program

SCAN has one (1) part-time (20-26 hours per week) position available.

Location: Laredo, TX.

Founded in 1982 in Laredo, Texas, SCAN is a leading provider of social services in South Texas. SCAN offers a friendly and supportive working environment that encourages personal and professional growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working as part of a team to assist homeless individuals or individuals at-risk of homelessness with social or psychological challenges to access help.
• Working in different environments (both office-based and on the ground), at times best suited to the community (including some evenings).
• Maintain case notes and participant files and ensure that all reporting requirements are adhered to as outlined by the funder and program for every client interaction.
• Facilitating program services to homeless individuals by offering them the support they need.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent
• Prior experience working in community outreach and engagement, particularly with disadvantage groups preferred but not required.
• Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Good computer skills.
• Reliable transportation, proof of insurance and a valid driver's license required.
• Able to work flexible hours.
