    COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATOR

    ABOUT SISTERREACH:

    SisterReach, founded in October 2011, is a Memphis, TN-based grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting the reproductive and sexual autonomy of Black women, women and girls of color, LGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive people, and their families through the framework of Reproductive and Sexual Justice. Our mission is to empower those we serve to lead healthy lives, nurture healthy families, and thrive in safe, sustainable communities.

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The Community Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to expand awareness and support for reproductive and sexual justice. This role involves engaging community partners, organizing events, supporting leadership development among volunteers and fellows, and mobilizing support for the organization’s mission. Reporting to the Manager of Harm Reduction & Education, the Community Partnerships Coordinator will play a vital role in fostering community alliances, promoting education, and increasing access to resources and services that align with reproductive and sexual justice principles.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reproductive & Sexual Justice Fellowship

    Coordinate and manage all aspects of the SisterReach Reproductive and Sexual Justice Fellowship Program (SRSJF).

    Recruits, interviews, and trains fellows on reproductive and sexual justice education. Including comprehensive reproductive and sexual health education, cultural humility, and organizing 101.

    Conduct exit interviews at the end of each cohort.

    Manage monitoring and evaluations data and submit to research department

    Volunteer Coordination/Planning

    Recruits, interviews, and trains volunteers to participate in the organization’s outreach activities and events.

    Manages and supports volunteer efforts in the community, providing guidance and resources to empower them as reproductive and sexual justice advocates.

    Resource Coordination & Information Sharing

    Serves as a resource for community members, providing information and referrals to reproductive health services, mental health support, and other essential resources.

    Distributes educational materials, fact sheets, and other resources to ensure community access to accurate information on reproductive justice and health topics.

    Develops and maintains relationships with service providers, ensuring that community members can access a network of supportive resources.

    Program Evaluations & Reporting

    Tracks and reports on outreach activities, partnerships, and community impact to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

    Maintains records of community engagements and provides regular reports to Directors of Community Engagement and other stakeholders.

    Events Support

    Providing support on various events, initiatives, projects across programs when needed, including logistics, passing out flyers, pushing out digital collateral, and direct event support.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

    Experience in community organizing, partnership development, ideally within a nonprofit or social justice organization.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must be passionate about reproductive justice and human rights

    Experience coordinating individuals, groups, or cohorts around a specific task.

    Management experience is a plus (not required)

    Must be comfortable working with diverse community members.

    Bilingual skills are a plus (not required)

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear.

    Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or reach.

    Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    Salary Range: $35,000 – $45,000 annually, based on experience (lived and/or professional), qualifications, and organizational budget.
