    Local Profile is evolving – and we’re hiring! We are progressing from a single print publication to a full-service Audience and Content Production Company, and we could not be more excited about the future of Community Profile! 

    Your mission, should you choose to accept it: MANAGE AND COORDINATE THE PRODUCTION OF CONTENT FOR ALL MEDIA CHANNELS. IDENTIFY AND DEVELOP PROFITABLE NEW MEDIA CHANNELS. (And, don’t worry. This message will not self-destruct.)

    As our first-ever Media Manager, you will lead our media team as we grow, adapt, and extend our media channels. You will oversee the company's daily media operations, and build, lead, and review the work in the production of content across all channels. 

    You will manage content strategy for all integrated media projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology. 

    This role is both an individual contributor and a collaborator.  Along with the management team and partners, you will suggest and develop ideas, assign articles/content, edit, and see copy/content through to publication across all media properties. You will also collaborate with marketing to grow our audiences and drive engagement.

    More specifically, here’s what we need you to do:

    • Plan and manage all daily operations of content and creative teams across all media channels, establishing an appropriate editorial voice for each channel

    • Supervise cross-functional media team (journalists, copywriters, graphic designers, social media producers, photographers/videographers, and project managers) in the strategic development of content deliverables

    • Approve and prioritize work and resources based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules and enforcing deadlines 

    • Ensure appropriate graphic design, video editing, and web page layout and development

    • Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance metrics across properties to meet traffic, engagement, and growth targets and quantify results

    • Meet budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    As our ideal candidate, you have a minimum of 5 years of related experience, with 1 year of supervision in an agency or corporate setting. 

    You have proven experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from print, digital, social media, paid media, and mobile including podcasting and video editing.

    You are computer savvy, experienced with G Suite for Business and Adobe Cloud, email marketing software, parse.ly, WordPress, Google Adsense‎, and learn new platforms quickly. 

    You have an intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels and expertise in SEO/SEM.

    You have a solid knowledge of analytics tools and experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns.

    Most importantly, you have an entrepreneurial mindset, are customer-focused, and are willing and able to help us learn what we don’t already know. We’re a collaborative team, and we work together to find the best solutions to get things done.

    Bi-lingual Spanish / English is a plus!
