SUMMARY: Provides safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for young children, attends to physical needs of children, serves snacks and drinks; plays indoor and/or outdoor games; reads to children; supervises children playing. Maintains communications with parents and guardians.

Competencies:
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Whenever possible, speak the client’s language to the best of your ability.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite in a Windows environment helpful and preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current (less than 1-year), satisfactory Pennsylvania State Criminal and Child Abuse History Certifications are required prior to hire; Federal FBI Clearance results, along with a physical assessment, including a tuberculosis skin test, required within 30-days of hire; Mandated Reporter Child Abuse training certification required within 90-days of hire; Valid driver’s license and current insurance coverage is required.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must meet one of the following qualification levels for an AGS, as set by Department of Human Services guidelines:

We are currently seeking two AGS's to fill positions in the morning and afternoon. This position is part-time, up to 29-hours per week, but additional hours may be available, and 44 weeks per year.
