This is not a desk job.
You'll spend most of your time in the community building relationships that generate referrals and private-pay clients.
Position Summary
The Community Relations & Business Development Representative is responsible for developing referral partnerships and increasing awareness of FirstLight Home Care throughout Sacramento and Solano Counties.
Success in this role is measured by relationships built, referral sources activated, community visibility, and ultimately private-pay client growth.

Relationship Management
Maintain ongoing communication with referral partners through:
Weekly visits
Phone calls
Email follow-up
Lunch-and-learns
Caregiver appreciation events
Educational presentations
Marketing
Deliver marketing materials
Maintain referral database/CRM
Track leads
Track conversions
Coordinate community events
Identify new marketing opportunities
Reporting
Weekly reports including:
Referral visits completed
New contacts added
Follow-up appointments
Referrals received
Referrals converted
Community events attended
Next week's goals
Qualifications
Preferred experience in:
Home Care
Home Health
Hospice
Healthcare Sales

Excellent communication skills
Professional appearance

Valid driver's license
Ability to work independently

Weekly
20–25 in-person referral visits
10 new referral contacts
10 follow-up meetings

80–100 referral visits
30+ new referral relationships
15–20 qualified private-pay inquiries

3–5 new private-pay clients started
