Job Description:

A Community Relations Rep Intern will be responsible on outreach, event development, and retention for our Medicaid business line environment; but are not limited to engage as Coach Blue (expanding coach blue exposure), research new opportunities for Coach Blue & Team Statewide. As part of the team, you will assist in expanding brand awareness, increasing partnerships, acquisition, and retention.

Our Medicaid business is a leader in serving low-income families and people with disabilities through state-sponsored health care programs.

Functions OR examples of projects for this role:

• Research and Development: Assist in the implementation and the development of marketing initiatives, assist with event promotion (flier Blitz, etc. throughout needed territories)

• Administration: Assist with inventory cycling, assist with wellness bags/swag bag/ presentation folders to be used for upcoming conferences/presentations the team has, and other marketing /outreach administrative duties as needed.

• Analytical: evaluate and monitor performance and efficiency of planned initiatives to track trends as well as ensure execution yield targeted ROI.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the summer internship program

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field at an accredited college/university at an accredited college/university

• Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Good time management skills

• Ability to work independently as well as on a team

• Have reliable transportation

• Be able to perform as mascot

• Project management experience a plus

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

• Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills
