POSITION TITLE: Accounting Specialist II
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Maintains the processing of accurate, timely and complete financial documents in relation to Accounts Receivable processes. Manages property control, purchasing, and property and equipment leases.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Associate’s degree in related field or two years of directly-related (accounting/bookkeeping) experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience. Nonprofit and/or contracting experience highly desired.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Advanced computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software programs, as required for the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to apply skills regarding labor market analysis, sales approaches, customer relations and negotiations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to create and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule forms
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Access to transportation, California driver’s license, and minimum auto insurance as required by law. Must maintain a good driving record.

Community Resource Project, Inc. (CRP, Inc.) is a non-profit 501 c (3) organization based in Sacramento and is a progressive organization, founded in 1972 by three Latino community leaders, to provide much-needed services to the low-income communities. The agency originally offered employment training to men and women exiting the correctional system.
