The DSP is responsible for the overall client service operations and assigned personnel supervision. You would not be alone, you would be supported by management and the agency to help you fulfill the duties that you are expected to complete. We would love to have a supervisor who has a background in caregiving and knows the challenges of being a caregiver. Also challenges for people who are older or have disabilities. We as an agency are looking to grow and are interviewing applicants immediately to fill this need.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene, medication reminders, and other instrumental ADLS within their PCSP.
Fosters positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served.
Ensures client safety and maintaining a safe environment.
Reminds clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training).
Documenting in the medication record and client chart.
Encourages self-help activities.
Reports changes in client’s condition or family situation to administrators and supervisors.
Documents services provided while on shift
Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, cleaning, and other related tasks
Plans meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up.
Accompanies clients to scheduled appointments and transports clients or running errands for clients.
Assist clients with mail management and monitoring communication with government services.
Attend “All-Staff” monthly meetings.
Completes required trainings that are assigned to them
Other duties as assigned.
