Position Summary We are seeking a strategic, compassionate, and experienced Community Support Program Director to lead and manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our community-based support services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social services, program development, and team leadership, with a commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and community well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the implementation of community support programs that align with the organization's mission and goals
Identify community needs and design responsive, evidence-based programs
Lead strategic planning for program growth, impact, and sustainability
Supervise, train, and support program managers, case workers, and other staff
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture focused on excellence and empathy
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, service providers, and stakeholders
Represent the organization at community events, coalitions, and working groups
Promote awareness and utilization of community support services
Develop metrics to assess program effectiveness and impact
Monitor data collection and ensure accurate and timely reporting
Prepare reports for funders, board members, and leadership
Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with the finance team
Ensure compliance with funder requirements, regulations, and organizational policies.
Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts related to community support services
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
1+ years of experience in community programs, social services, or nonprofit leadership
Proven experience in program development, team supervision, and stakeholder engagement
Strong knowledge of community-based support systems and trauma-informed care
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Preferred:
Experience with grant management and reporting
Familiarity with local, state, and federal social service systems
