What You'll Do as a Community Transportation Driver:
Safe & Reliable Transportation
- Provide dependable transportation services for passengers traveling to essential destinations.
- Transport riders to medical appointments, employment locations, educational facilities, community programs, shopping centers, and other scheduled destinations.
- Ensure passengers arrive safely, comfortably, and on time.
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, and operating procedures.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Deliver reliable, professional service while adapting to changing transportation needs.
Passenger Assistance & Customer Service
- Provide courteous, respectful, and professional service to every passenger.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle when needed.
- Support riders with mobility devices and accessibility requirements according to company policies and procedures.
- Create a welcoming and positive transportation experience for all passengers.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, caregivers, dispatch personnel, and team members.
- Promote passenger safety, comfort, and dignity throughout every trip.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Complete required trip logs, reports, and documentation accurately and timely.
- Follow company policies, transportation regulations, and safety procedures at all times.
- Report vehicle maintenance concerns, incidents, and operational issues promptly.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for daily service.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer care.
Qualifications of a Community Transportation Drivers:
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to assist passengers with varying transportation and mobility needs.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Ability to work independently and manage routes efficiently.
- Friendly, patient, and service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to pass required background checks and screening requirements.
