Community & Family Resources is seeking a full-time Peer Recovery Coach in the Fort Dodge area. Our Peer Recovery Coaches have the unique opportunity to help our patients by providing the perspective of a person with lived experience. This position will work as part of a team to provide services to those reentering the community from the criminal justice system and also work with those who are participating in the Webster County Drug Court.
The Peer Recovery Coach:
• Supports patients in utilizing goal setting processes to further their recovery.
• Supports patients and families in choosing the services, programs, and recovery groups that help them reach their goals. Provides resources and referrals to community and social support services.
• Teaches problem solving techniques and life skills to individuals and/or groups.
• Role models the value of every individual’s recovery experience.
• Participates and attend team meetings, staffing, and/or consultations.
• Completes necessary paperwork and adheres to all deadlines.
• Assists in recruitment and retention of patients/families in grant.
• Assists with community outreach activities.
• Transports patients to appointments as required.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is generally M-F, 9a-5:30p with some flexibility for evenings or weekends as needed for patient care.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a personal experience with recovery. Candidates must have basic computer skills and excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to complete recovery coach training and/or peer support training as soon as possible after hire date.
This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass an extensive background check.

Candidate’s pay will be commensurate with experience and education.
