    WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PREP COOK WHO CAN PLAN, PREP AND EXECUTE OUR HIGH-QUALITY MENU FOR OUR WONDERFUL CLIENTELE. 

    WHAT WE OFFER: 

    • Competitive pay ($16 hourly or more negotiable based on your experience), along with free employee meals/employee discounts and a performance-based culture for promotions and compensation growth.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

    • At the start of each shift check daily prep list to ensure it is complete and sufficient prep product is available.
    • Perform routine kitchen tasks.
    • Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
    • Handle, store and rotate all products properly. Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
    • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
    • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
    • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
    • Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
    • Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
    • Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.
    • Attend employee meetings and communicate suggestions for improvement as needed.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
    • Understand and comply with Company Policies.
    • Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to Kitchen Manager.
    • Maintain positive co-worker and guest relations at all times.
    • Maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation/Health regulations and company standards.
    • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs for the restaurant such as holidays and weekends
    • Other duties as assigned by Managers.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • At least 1 year of experience as a prep cook in a fast-paced, restaurant kitchen required.
    • Knife skills and basic cooking knowledge required, knife and tools will be provided by the restaurant.
    • A strong belief in the art of hospitality and the desire to create meaningful guest experiences through high quality foods. 
    • Must have and maintain a valid Food Handler's certification.
