    DESCRIPTION

    Hi, compadre. We’re looking for a Brand Strategist who is well-versed in analyzing data and research and translating it into actionable business, brand, and consumer strategies.

    That’s a lot of jargon, so let’s break it down a little more. Compadre develops marketing campaigns and brand identities for clients in the entertainment industry (sometimes we stretch beyond into tech and lifestyle), but there’s a lot that goes on under the hood before we make those pretty things. That’s where you come in. Sometimes you may be conducting research or stakeholder interviews. Sometimes you will be interpreting client-provided research. And usually, you will be using these insights to establish a brand position, product launch strategy, brand voice guidelines, or creative marketing concepts.

    You will report directly to the Director of Strategy. We tend to wear many hats as a growing agency, so you are ideally a multitasker, can take direction or work autonomously, and are comfortable not only developing strategies but presenting them to clients.

    KEY DUTIES

    • Conduct market, audience, and landscape research • Analyze and interpret existing client research • Occasionally support Head of Data with a formulation of qual & quant research • Conduct stakeholder interviews and strategic workshops • Develop brand positioning, brand architecture, brand voice, and launch strategies • Translate strategies into well-crafted, client-facing presentations • Present key findings and strategy documents to clients • Develop creative and marketing concepts based on aforementioned strategies and insights

    ABOUT YOU

    • 4+ years experience as a brand strategist, with familiarity in the entertainment industry • Strategic thinker with proven ability to develop an effective brand and launch strategies • Specializes in translating data and information into actionable insights • Comfortable interfacing with — and presenting to — clients

    • A creative-at-heart who isn’t afraid to dabble in creative writing and campaign concepting • Familiar with Google Drive and Keynote • Experience conducting primary research, analyzing syndicated research (e.g. Nielson,

    comScore) and existing client research, and dissecting social media analytics preferred

    • A huge fan of the Oxford comma
