Home Helpers of Bergen County is hiring a compassionate and experienced caregiver familiar with dementia and Alzheimer’s care. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with the skills and heart to support seniors living with memory loss.

Position Details:

Availability: Part-time to Full-time (flexible schedule)

Pay: $17-$18 per hour

Location: Bergen County, NJ (specific placement based on availability)

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

Provide supportive companionship and structure for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s

Assist with daily routines, including meals, light housekeeping, and personal care

Offer gentle reminders and cues to help manage memory-related challenges

Drive clients to appointments, errands, and safe outings

Ensure a calm, patient, and engaging environment tailored to the client’s needs

Requirements:

Previous experience with dementia/Alzheimer’s clients (required)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Patient, understanding, and observant personality

Ability to follow a structured care plan and work independently

CHHA certification preferred but not required
