We are looking for Certified Home Health Aides who drive and genuinely enjoy companionship and helping clients stay active, engaged and connected to their communities.

We have a growing number of clients who need more than traditional care at home. They are looking for someone who can spend meaningful time with them, accompany them on outings and appointments, help with errands, and provide transportation when needed.

This is a great role for an aide who enjoys conversation, building relationships, getting out of the house with clients and making their days a little more enjoyable.

Applicants must drive and be comfortable transporting clients in either the client's vehicle or their own vehicle, depending on the assignment.

    Companionship & Transportation Responsibilities

    Provide friendly, engaging one-on-one companionship

Build meaningful relationships with clients and encourage social interaction

Accompany clients on errands, shopping trips and other local outings

Drive or accompany clients to medical appointments

Take clients for walks, meals, activities or other appropriate outings

Encourage clients to participate in hobbies and activities they enjoy

Provide conversation, emotional support and a reassuring presence

Help clients maintain their independence and stay connected to their community

    Provide medication reminders

Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions

Assist with light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, changing bed linens, vacuuming, dusting and tidying the client's home

    Personal Care Responsibilities

Depending on the client's needs, responsibilities may also include:

    Bathing and personal hygiene

    Dressing and grooming

    Toileting and incontinence care

    Ambulation and transfers

    Assistance with eating

    Mobility support

Range-of-motion exercises as directed by a Right at Home nurse

    Measuring and preparing special diets

    Dementia care and supervision

Other client-specific activities taught and supervised by a Right at Home nurse

    Job Requirements

Current Certified Home Health Aide certification

    Valid driver's license

    Reliable, insured vehicle

Comfortable driving clients in your own vehicle and/or the client's vehicle

At least one year of caregiving, Home Health Aide or CNA experience in a home or facility setting preferred

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the position

Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled visits

    Who We're Looking For

The right person for this role is:

Friendly and engaging — you genuinely enjoy spending time with older adults

    A good conversationalist and listener

    Patient and compassionate

Proactive — you can help make a client's day meaningful rather than waiting to be told what to do

Comfortable getting out and about with clients

Reliable and responsible, especially when transporting clients

Flexible and able to adapt to different personalities and situations

    Calm under pressure

    Professional and respectful of confidentiality

Passionate about helping older adults maintain their independence and quality of life

If you are a Certified Home Health Aide who loves the companionship side of caregiving and enjoys helping clients get out, stay active and continue doing the things they love, we would love to hear from you.
