OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Talent Partner is responsible for finding, attracting, and hiring exceptional Veterinarians for Companion’s growing network of veterinary hospitals. A successful Clinic Talent Partner is a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to collaborate effectively with Operations, Hospital Leadership, and candidates alike. They are highly resourceful and possess a proactive approach to candidate sourcing, utilizing a variety of resources to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates. This position requires a motivated, results-driven, and adaptable professional who is passionate about contributing to the growth and success of our hospitals.
The ideal candidate for this position would reside in Central or Northern California.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Operations and Hospital leadership to understand hiring needs, develop recruitment strategy, and attract top clinical talent
- Build a strong veterinarian candidate pipeline through networking events, conferences, social media outreach, and creative sourcing approaches
- Contribute to long-term workforce planning initiatives related to veterinarian recruitment and retention
- Support company-wide talent acquisition initiatives as needed
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process including job requisitions, job postings, passive candidate sourcing, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, making offers, and onboarding with HR partner
- Communicate quickly, professionally, and efficiently with candidates via e-mail, text, and phone to schedule screens and virtual interviews
- Evaluate profiles of potential candidates and perform preliminary phone screens and in person interview assessments
- Generate, maintain, and execute job advertisements/postings
- Manage process of collecting and tracking candidate recommendations and references
- Manages database integrity and quality of the Applicant Tracking System including updating candidate statuses, job statuses, and requisition reporting
- Provide regular updates to leadership and Operations on key recruitment metrics
- Engage hospital teams and veterinary network to drive internal & external referrals
- Estimated 10-25% travel to attend relevant conferences and events and assist with onsite interviews
COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years demonstrated recruiting experience in human healthcare or veterinary leadership is preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in the veterinary field is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong customer-service orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of individuals and groups
- Comfort using an internal consulting approach, and a willingness to continually train and coach hiring managers
- Ability to generate a high volume/high quality pipeline of candidates under tight timelines
- Proficiency with utilizing ATS and HRIS systems to manage full cycle hiring processes
- Prior experience with managing a hiring process in compliance with AAP, EEO, and OFCCP guidelines
- The ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Highly motivated, priority-driven, organized self-starter, focused on quality, service and teamwork
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately manage sensitive information and data
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Graduate with a bachelor’s degree required
- Experience with ATS, HRIS systems, & LinkedIn Recruiter
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Companion offers competitive salary ($75,000 - $110,000 per year) with bonus structure as well as a benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k)
