JOB SUMMARY:

• A rapidly growing Los Angeles based privately held wholesaler in the Home Decor Industry with international sourcing is searching for CONTROLLER. The Company has sales in excess of $100,000,000 with manufacturing operations in Mexico and product sourcing from Mexico, China and India.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain accurate accounting and financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Supervise the Accounting team and provide support to the Chief Financial Officer and effectively manage the financial operations of the Company.
• Oversee the general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions of the Company and individuals in those departments.
• Daily cash management.
• Management of timely month end and year end closings and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual combined financial statements and monthly financial analysis.
• Coordinate the annual year end audit with external auditors.
• Prepare financial analysis as required by lending institutions.
• Undertake special accounting projects as deemed necessary including financial forecasts and other financial analysis.
• Interact with Information Technology Department to improve and enhance existing accounting procedures and processes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in accounting BBA and or MBA.
• CPA preferred with at least three years of public accounting experience.
• Experiences with international operations preferred.
• Strong oral and written skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interactive with direct reports and other supervisory individuals in the Company.
• Self starter with god organizational skills and a problem solving mentality.
