Job Summary:
A Distribution Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales targets by promoting and selling the company's products or services to customers and retailers. They play a key role in building and maintaining customer relationships, ensuring product availability, and maximizing sales opportunities within their assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Promotion:
- Actively promote and sell the company products/ services to potential customers.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company services.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including upselling or cross-selling products.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, follow-ups, and problem-solving.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively offer solutions.
- Territory Management:
- Manage and prioritize a designated sales territory, ensuring efficient coverage and distribution.
- Plan and execute sales visits to clients, retailers, and other potential sales outlets.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify opportunities and challenges within the territory.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings
- Order Processing and Distribution:
- Process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
- Collaborate with distribution and logistics teams to ensure product availability and on-time deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend restocking or inventory adjustments as needed.
- Sales Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales transactions.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, including goals, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field may be preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a distribution or B2B sales role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of the products or services being sold.
- Familiarity with sales and CRM software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
