    Job Title: Production & Inventory Specialist

    Role To assist the Plant Manager in key administrative functions of purchasing, inventory organization, production planning and daily operations of the bakery (primary areas of responsibilities include ‘hands-on’ project management, meeting production goals and creating efficient workflows)

    Responsibilities (include but not limited to) Production

    Be a leader and lead by example.

    Plan production shifts allocating labor with production tasks.

    Printing/distributing proper paperwork for the production team (day and night crew).

    Assist in closing production schedules from the previous day(s) through our manufacturing program.

    Assist in weekly production scheduling utilizing the manufacturing program.

    ‘Hands on’ floor time includes working on the line, making rounds, problem solving, training, reporting as needed.

    Direct communication with team leaders at critical times throughout the day to review changes, recap timeline, highlight success & opportunities.

    Audit product recipe, labor, and raw materials for accuracy. Identify and update changes.

    Organize, prioritize, and own multiple tasks.

    Control cost through reduction of waste, adherence to recipe, managing labor.

    Participate in creating & implementing procedures which would help to reduce costs.

    Inventory Management

    Maintaining accurate inventory between warehouse and software of raw materials, finished and work in progress products.

    Daily spot inventory counts to verify system accuracy.

    Troubleshoot any inaccuracies between the system data and actual production; may need to contact software programmer to resolve possible issues.

    Hight level of ensuring quality- FIFO, first in first out.

    Run weekly gross profit margin reports from our system.

    Purchasing & Logistics

    Generate purchase orders for vendors (categories to include raw product, paper, chemicals).

    Submit purchase orders to vendor, obtain order acknowledgement of receipt.

    High level of checks and balances to ensure accurate information.

    Follow-up with vendors deliveries.

    Secure receiving ticket, verify invoice matched purchase order and approve invoice for payment.

    Frequent reconciliation of manufacturing program with current pricing.

    Competitive bidding of raw product price against preferred vendors.

    Arrange wholesale customer shipping freight & bid pricing.

    Arrange customer pick-ups.

    Maintain accurate inventory between bakery and manufacturing program of raw products.

    General

    Other duties as assigned by management.

    Essential skills and experience:

    3+ years related work experience in bakery manufacturing or related manufacturing industry.

    Strong oral and written communication skills.

    Strong mathematical foundation for conversion of recipes and data; Bakery experience is a plus.

    Computer knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (FlexiBake experience a Plus).

    Detail oriented and organized individual.

    Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

    Ability to withstand extreme cold and hot temperatures when performing inventory counts.

    Proven analytical and decision-making skills.

    Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

    Salary is Commensurate with experience. Job Type: Full-time

    Pay Range: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year (depending on experience) Bonus: Potential Bonus of up to 20% of base salary pay Benefits:
