We are hiring Disaster Case Managers for programs in New Jersey and Florida. All positions work remotely. Travel to our office in Whiting NJ may be necessary for meeting and/or training.
Essential Duties:
A Disaster Case Manager coordinates various aspects of case management for individuals and households affected by disaster. Duties include, but are not limited to, completing outreach calls, making referrals to community resources, assessing client needs, developing recovery plans to address client unmet needs, identifying appropriate resources to meet client needs and assisting clients in accessing those resources.
Prepares and presents qualified cases for consideration to the Unmet Needs Committee(s) or other funding sources.
Ensures that individuals and households are provided with the opportunity to make their own decisions and play an active role in their own recovery.
Enters all client data into a secure electronic database. Maintains all client data in a confidential manner.
Maintains professional relationships with clients, their families, partner and community organizations, service providers, and funding sources.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
High School diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work remotely and virtually
Willingness and ability to work evenings and/or weekends when necessary
