Job Description

Our client develops, manufactures and supplies a wide array of innovative medical diagnostic products, services, tests, platforms and technologies.

Duties: 

·        Support translation of product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams.

·        Carry the voice of the customer for the product development team throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from definition to sunsetting of the product.

·        Collaborate with team members, and other stakeholders to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs.

·        Be the high-availability resource for answering questions posed by engineers and designers about requirements on a day-to-day basis.

·        Author software requirements documentation.

·        Ensure that requirements content and prioritization are aligned to larger strategic objectives.

·        Help managing scope and contribute to trade-off decisions in conjunction with external stakeholders.

·        Identify blockers that will impact timeline, scope, cost or other project variables and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders.

·        Manage requirements lifecycle across multiple tools and systems.

Skills:    

·        Prior experience in product management/ product marketing for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), cancer genetics or bioinformatics is strongly desired.

·        Strong organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to set priorities based on alignment with business goals and strategic direction, define timelines and deliver to commitments.

·        Experience with Agile processes such as Scrum, Lean and Kanban.

·        Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Education:          

·        Bachelor's degree (Master's degree or higher preferred) in biology, molecular biology, molecular genetics, or a related discipline and 3+ years of requirements writing or product management experience, with practical experience in the life science, clinical research or diagnostics field.
