General Summary / Overview Statement:

Performs a variety of customer service and staff support duties for the Radiology Department which require a range of skills, knowledge of medical terminology and attention to compassionate patient care.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Receives patients at the front desk, confirms patients insurances, confirms eligibility for radiology services; enters orders for walk-in and Urgent Care Center patients. Schedules future appointments for patients at Check-out following exam. Deliver patient satisfaction through effective resolution of client calls (call center environment) Multitask effectively in a high volume client service center Utilize multiple information systems to verify the availability of diagnostic information Troubleshoot workflow gaps with diagnostic information, patient orders, and physician resources Owns issues through verified resolution Establish effective working rapport with clinical team including physicians Build effective relationships and work environment with teammates Identify process improvement opportunities Acts as liaison for patient, with technologists, radiologists and ordering providers.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: Medical terminology High school diploma Knowledge of HIPAA At least one year office experience with direct customer/patient care Effective communication skills Ability to manage multi-line phone system Flexible schedule Willingness to travel to all four radiology sites, as necessary (East Bridgewater and Quincy)
