    About ComForCare Home Care South New Jersey

    Join our team at ComForCare, an independently owned and operated office dedicated to providing exceptional care to the South New Jersey communities (Salem, Cumberland, Cape May). We are a Master Dementia Care Professional office and a Certified Parkinson's Care Expert office, committed to continuous training and supportive work environments. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and engaging Companion to provide essential non-medical support to our clients.

    Position Summary

    As a Companion, you will provide non-medical, engaging companionship and supervision for clients in their private homes. Per New Jersey regulations, this role is strictly for companion-only services and does not include hands-on personal care tasks. Your primary goal is to enhance the client's quality of life and provide peace of mind for their family through supportive and social care.

    Key Responsibilities (Non-Medical/Companionship Only)

    Provide engaging companionship, conversation, and emotional support.

    Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a tidy home environment.

    Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions.

    Assist with running errands and grocery shopping.

    Provide transportation for appointments and social outings.

    Offer medication reminders (not administration).

    Engage clients in stimulating activities such as hobbies, reading, puzzles, and walks.

    Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to the Agency Manager.

    Qualifications

    Must be at least 18 years of age.

    High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

    Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

    A caring, patient, and mature demeanor with a passion for helping others.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
