    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Competitive Range works in partnership with the government to plan and deploy complex, IT-enabled and mission essential capabilities.     Competitive Range Solutions requires the ingenuity of an accomplished IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide specialized technical support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex challenges, and processes relating to DISN infrastructure projects.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support Government lead/Engineers in the planning and implementation of solutions across multiples technologies and platforms in the DISN and provide end-to-end integrated solutions with a proposed engineering/implementation strategy.

    • Provide expert support, functional systems analysis, integration, and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter.

    • Gather Government requirements, and performs analyses of technology improvement, optimization, development, maintenance and system plans.

    Serve as technical expert on executive-level project team providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives on implementation tasks.

    Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.

    Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.

    Work on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions, which are highly innovative and ingenious.

    Work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives.

    Develop advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product.

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

    Expertise in Information Technology (e.g., Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management).

    • Efficient application of technology for each solution

    • Focus on project integration

    • High-energy, team-oriented

    • Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills.

    • Reputation for integrity, quality, and excellent interpersonal communication skills,

    • Proactive and able to self-initiate assignments.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in any technical or business field followed by over ten years of progressive DoD communications experience with recent knowledge and experience of executive level and command level work.
