    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This position supports the Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Commercial Satellite Communications Office (CSCO), assisting customers in the Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) acquisition and provisioning process. Competitive Range is looking for a Strategic Analyst to work with AFSPC CSCO to provide the client with industry research, analysis, studies and technology assessments, supporting strategic direction of the organization. The Strategic Analyst will manage a set of established deliverables, and work with a team to ensure their completion.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •   Conduct technology assessments, market research and analysis of COMSATCOM systems for augmentation of DoD wideband and narrowband satellite systems.

    •   Participate in government and commercial reviews, symposia and industry technology conferences to ensure leading edge technology strategies are employed.  

    •       Provide economic and technical analysis support to COMSATCOM initiatives/investigations for systems such as Pathfinders, HTS, LEO, MEO and future AFSPC enterprise solutions.

    •       Assist the Government in responding to various Congressional, Federal and DoD inquiries and taskings.

    •       Provide recommendation and assist the Government in policy review/evaluation and development.

    •       Provide analysis and recommendations for development of future models/constructs for acquisition of COMSATCOM capabilities by AFSPC.

    •       Support internal and external meetings, reviews, working groups.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    •       10+ years of experience in MILSATCOM, COMSATCOM and DoDIN network.
    •       Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other related field
    •       Master's Degree preferred
    •       Experience with Microsoft Office, including Project, Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel
    •       Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    •       Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize tasks
    •       Highly motivated
    •       Ability to work with a team
    •       Secret Clearance
