Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented, experienced, and agile SATSTAR engineer to provide the following: 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzes and evaluates major NC3 system to include terrestrial and space-based requirements that necessitate systematic understanding of all parameters that influence and interface communications architecture within the system. Prepares artifacts for problem analysis and provides recommendations for solutions for modernization to the next generation system to be integrated into the platforms. Supports Analyze-of-Alternatives (AoAs) from deriving input data to select the most accurate, feasible, and economical solution. Provides analysis and assessment of NC3 system specifications and coordinate the system's roadmap within the organization. Formulates logical statements of user requirements and recommends solutions.
• Designs, implements, and conducts test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met
• Serves as subject matter specialist providing testing expertise towards the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.
• Participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection.
• Evaluates Functional Test Reports and Test Procedures
• Prepare inputs to, or assist in the development of: Project documentation Requirements verification Requirements validation Reviews and evaluates test results and support conclusions drawn from test tasks.
• Demonstrates ability to work with digital and RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
• Assists in the troubleshooting and debugging of operational issues impacting deployment capabilities
• Works with project managers, external stakeholders and other team members to plan and coordinate required activities to ensure successful mission system support for DoD mission requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years Communication Systems Engineering or Integration experience.

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related field.

• Experience with SATSTAR

• Experience with NC3 system 

• Experience with Black Transport 

• Experience with SUNS or DISN-TE, GATEWAY, and MET terminal highly desirable 

• CJCS Vol 6 & 7 requirements highly desirable

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Project, Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize tasks

• Highly motivated

• Ability to work with a team

• Secret Clearance
