Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced Field Operations Manager to assist in the direction and management of program's executive support group. The candidate must reference their ability and experience in working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team.
The Travel Program Assistant will support various project and program managers and arrange business travel for employees, identifying the most cost-effective travel arrangements and making necessary coordination. Serve as Liaison for multiorganization and ensure requirements are met and review travel requests for accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and policy adherence. This position requires a dynamic, independent, and trustworthy person able to work with minimal direction to accomplish broad objectives and conformance to policy.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research all government travel requirements such as and not limited to per diem rates, country clearances, site access for each travel.
Ensures travel arrangements are within approved travel reasons and budget limits, makes all arrangements and reservations as requested.
Prepares and track travel authorizations and route correspondence to appropriate staff.
Obtains approval from leadership for travel requests and expenses that exceed established limits.
Advises travelers of and assists with any need for specialized travel documents such as visas or passports.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of the travel industry.
Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options and to identify the best choice to serve a specified goal.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
5+ years of practical hands-on experience utilizing various TAR applications, including the ability to assess various organizational travel programs in accordance with governing regulations and to provide planned routine and on-the-spot training.
Demonstrated knowledge of DOD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) policies and procedures for CONUS, OCONUS deployment.
Experience in administering travel documents, country and site clearance functions, cancellation procedures, cost estimates, itinerary changes, routing lists, authorizations, per diem, and mileage.
Knowledge of current relevant guidance including the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), and DOD travel requirements.
Functional experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, TEAMS and Excel applications.
Understanding of CRS SOPs, business process maps (normally in flowchart format) and supporting documentation.
Previous training and experience with DELTEK, Insperity, Concur, DTS or similar travel software preferred.
