We provide sophisticated, creative, strategic communication expertise that is familiar with complex IT system development and delivery for wide-ranging communication support to myriad stakeholders for a Federal Civilian Agency's large-scale IT services.

    The Photographer role involves capturing visually compelling and strategic images to enhance the official's communication efforts.

    Roles and responsibilities:

    Photography Planning and Coordination:

    - Strategic Briefings: Collaborate with communication teams to understand the strategic goals and messaging objectives for visual content.

    - Shot Planning: Develop shot lists and creative concepts to align photography with the official's communication strategy.

    On-site Photography:

    - Event Coverage: Attend official events, meetings, and engagements to capture high-quality photographs that tell a story and reinforce key messages.

    - Candid Moments: Capture candid and posed shots to create a comprehensive visual narrative of the official's activities.

    Photo Editing and Enhancement:

    - Post-Processing: Edit and enhance photographs using industry-standard software to ensure visual consistency and adherence to established branding guidelines.

    - Retouching: Perform retouching and corrections as needed to produce polished and professional images.

    Media Interaction:

    - Media Support: Collaborate with media outlets to provide high-quality photographs for press releases, articles, and other media coverage.

    - Captioning and Metadata: Ensure accurate and informative captions and metadata accompany images for media distribution.

    Archiving and Cataloging:

    - Digital Asset Management: Establish and maintain a well-organized digital archive of photographs for easy retrieval and future use.

    - Metadata Tagging: Implement metadata tagging to enhance the searchability and categorization of images.

    Equipment Maintenance:

    - Equipment Oversight: Manage and maintain photography equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition for on-site assignments.

    - Technology Proficiency: Stay current with advancements in photography technology and software tools.

    Collaboration with Communication Teams:

    - Creative Collaboration: Work closely with communication professionals to align visual content with overarching communication goals.

    - Feedback Integration: Integrate feedback and direction from communication teams to continuously refine and improve photography strategies.

    Compliance and Ethics:

    - Security and Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information and images with the utmost confidentiality and in compliance with security protocols.

    - Ethical Standards: Adhere to ethical guidelines and industry standards in all aspects of photography.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    - Photography Reports: Provide regular reports on photography activities, including event coverage, image usage, and any notable achievements.

    - Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of photography projects, ensuring a comprehensive record of all visual assets produced.

    The Photographer for a Strategic Communications Support Federal contract plays a crucial role in visually representing the senior government official, contributing to the success of communication initiatives through impactful and strategic imagery.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • At least 3 years of experience within the Federal space

    • BA / BS degree preferred

    • Working Knowledge Microsoft Office Tools

    • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills

    • Must be a US Citizen

    • Must be clearable through Federal Civilian security clearance process, for access to national security programs

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to type, communicate via telephone and sit for extended periods of time.
