    Remote Team: Marketing Salary: $55k - $65k

    HOW WE WORK:

    We divide work into teams. You will be able to connect with others to learn and grow because we don't believe in siloed skills and teams. We are better as a whole if we all can contribute anywhere and everywhere our skill sets could be of value. The Content Marketing Specialist will be a member of the Marketing team.

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

    • Create helpful, educational, and useful content that supports our user base and speaks to their questions and concerns
    • Work with growth & SEO strategy team members to generate relevant, high-quality content across our website and marketing channels
    • Write copy in a way that's digestible and easy to understand for our audience, who doesn't "speak tax" (yet)
    • Interview & work with internal subject matter experts, copy editing and optimizing their content
    • Help us continue to develop our brand voice
    • Contribute to the creation, development, and execution of content marketing strategies to drive leads, engage users, and educate current and potential customers
    • Assist in optimizing existing content, keeping it evergreen, and repurposing it for other content pieces (presentations, downloadables, bite-size snippets, etc.)
    • Manage & maintain the content editorial calendar
    • Work with the marketing team to strategize the disbursement of the content you create
    • Contribute to larger marketing campaign development

    YOUR BACKGROUND LIKELY INCLUDES:

    • Relevant content marketing experience, either working for an agency, in-house or as a successful freelancer
    • An understanding of how to conduct in-depth topic research, using credible publications and sources
    • Seasoned writing experience with a penchant for journalistic storytelling, including using real examples users can apply to their everyday lives
    • The ability to break down take content containing complex concepts and industry jargon into easy to understand terms, bite-sized snippets, and content someone outside of the field would want to read
    • A foundational understanding of SEO basics as they relate to content development and optimization

    BONUS POINTS

    • If you've ever worked in the SaaS, B2B FinTech, and/or Tax space
    • If you have a background in journalism, corporate communications, or PR
    • If you have novice or better SEO skills
    • If you have experience with educational content
    • If you're super organized and process-oriented 
    • if you've ever freelanced or run your own business
