Responsibilities: Essential duties: • Regulatory Compliance – Maintaining compliance with regulations of government agency programs, e.g., DHS, EPA, FDA, DOT, Cal OSHA, CADPR, CARB, SWPP, CUPA, NPDES, OCSD, etc. • S – Developing and Implementing Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures • Training – Ability to develop training materials and conduct training classes on safety-related topics • Certifications maintenance – Kosher, NOP, USDA, NSF, and NAFTA documentation • HAZMAT – Prepare annual CUPA Fire SARA 312 Reporting in CERS, SARA 313 (TRI reporting), and CA DTSC reports • Maintain GHS database, including SDSs and Labels • Participate in audits and plant tours, ensuring facility regulatory and EHS compliance • Respond to sales and customer requests for product documentation, vendor qualification surveys, and other forms and documents requested Qualifications: Prerequisites: • Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, or a related field, or 3+ years of industry experience with responsibility for EHS and Regulatory Compliance • Ability to read, write, and speak English. Spanish proficiency is desirable • Good organization skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines with minimal supervision • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure • Ability to read and interpret job-related documents • Possess good written and oral communication skills • Computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 yearly
